
The Blues U18’s won 5-1 at Hadleigh United U18’s on Thursday night.
Goals from Oscar Manly (2), Jonathan Shannon, Warren Buckman and captain for the night Ellis Hurst helped the side to three more league points. Hadleigh pulled a goal back midway through the second period.
Leiston U18’s have now won 12 of their 15 league games, drawing the other 3, and remain unbeaten in the division.
The win means that Sam Burman’s team need just one point from their last three league games to win the Thurlow Nunn Youth Central Division.
They can win the league on Tuesday night when the U18’s host Woodbridge Town U18’s in the Blues final home league fixture of the campaign. (7.45pm kick off). Woodbridge Town are currently 7th in the league, and have won 5 of their 14 league games, drawing 3 and losing 6. The Blues won the reverse fixture at Nottcutts Park a month ago 4-1.
