I READ a Leiston FC tweet last Saturday thanking fans saying Leiston travel the most at Step Three.
Now I’m not sure that is correct because there are sides in Premier South doing a lot more travelling, but these last seven days it certainly has felt a lot for us Blues boys and girls.
Tick Tock and I headed north to Quorn last Saturday and then west to Real Bedford on Tuesday, clocking up more than 500 miles, that’s a fair old trek for us loyal followers, and my new Skoda ... Got it on HP by the way!
But the journeys home felt extra happy, with wins and clean sheets, fun times indeed, even if Tick Tock's flask of Horlicks spilt in the car on the way up.
It certainly helped when I crawled into bed at 1am on Wednesday morning and I had work at 5.30am, the things we do for our non-league clubs. I needed coffee Wednesday morning to keep going.
Tick Tock, on the other hand had a day off, he failed to tell me that after I offered to drive Tuesday night and he snored all the way home having cleaned up the Horlicks, just to rub it in.
Roll on Alvechurch for a chance to get my own back.

AS a child, Easter was always a busy time in the football calendar.
I remember fondly a family trip to the seaside and having to have a picnic in the car listening to the classified results with James Alexander Gordon as the rain pounded down outside.
In those days it was a full League programme and the Division One (now Premier League) was reaching its critical time. Fast forward nearly 50 years and there was no top-flight football over Easter.
Admittedly, it’s not all about the Premier League. But first no fixtures on Boxing Day and now Easter. Fans are missing out on what was and should still be crucial rounds of fixtures in the football calendar.
Sometimes it’s nice to keep with the good old days.
