THIS week's adventures have been spent mostly trying to keep warm and it’s cost a few quid spent in various coffee houses, I can tell you.
Fortunately, Tik Tok is back on the mend so I haven’t been flying solo, although on the numerous occasions we have met up he’s conveniently forgotten his wallet! Nothing new there.
I'm still in two minds whether to ask him tomorrow at Victory Road (v Hitchin Town 3pm ko, but you knew that), if he will pay for the train tickets for Tuesday’s trip to Biggleswade where the Blues will look for three more points.
Then again, I’m in two minds whether to go, what with Love Island reaching the final stages and all that. I’d hate to miss it, I'm hooked. And typically, my Betamax recorder is on the blink. Decisions decisions.
Not wanting to tempt fate of course but Leiston are playing well right now and, who knows, we could see ourselves in the play-offs at this rate.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Oh, who cares, let's get ahead of ourselves.... if the Blues were to win the play-offs the likelihood is they would go up into National North.
Trips to Manchester and Newcastle would beckon and for me there would be only one thing for it... open up the old Leiston airfield and fly the boys north. What an idea that is, hey?
The team could travel in style and in half the time. Who's got the details on how to apply for planning permission?
