BLUES attacking midfielder, Adam Mills, is back on board and looking forward to another season with the Blues.
And he says there has been a real build-up of camaraderie among the squad in recent seasons, something he hopes will lead to a play-off spot this campaign.
“There has been a real gel between the players and a good understanding in the changing room in the last couple of years," Mills said, as Chris Wigger’s side began pre-season training on Tuesday evening.
“We have had two good seasons, although finishing 10th both times. We want to improve on that this season.”
The midfielder, who originally joined in 2021 before joining Chelmsford City in 2023 and then Needham Market, rejoined Leiston at the back end of the 2024/2025 campaign.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say that we had too many draws in the league last season," he said. "We need to be better at certain aspects at both ends but we are pleased about having a decent season overall."
Mills, who has been playing plenty of golf and enjoyed time away, has played almost 150 times for Leiston, scoring 35 goals.
“The goal next season is to improve on the finish last time out and it would be nice to get in the play-offs."
