And against Worcester City on Saturday, Jon Warren, aka @GamingBlomp, came and gave us a visit as he completed the full set of Southern League Premier Division Central grounds he has been to and rated this season.

And while he left Leiston till last (‘it was the longest journey, that’s the only reason!’), our Club left a big mark on him.

Jon scores each club on, atmosphere, playing surface, food, facilities, accessibility and overall matchday experience.

Leiston scored highly on the playing surface and facilities, and well on the other categories. However, it was the big one – the matchday experience – that Jon was so impressed with. And the one he always gives most marks to. He gave Leiston 9/10.

‘When I arrived at the Club I was told they simply have to make the matchday experience memorable, or people won’t want to come back,” Jon said.

“And wow! Leiston FC. You should be extremely proud of all your backroom staff, volunteers and everyone else at the Club on what you have achieved here.

“This is easily one of the best matchday experiences you will find at Step 3.

“Worcester City hold the lead in the matchday experience category, with their Sixways Stadium blowing me away, but what about Leiston? Well, I can tell you if the game had been a bit more entertaining, I would have given it 10/10.

“And I believe genuinely this is the best matchday experience overall in the Southern League Central Premier Division.”

Wow! What fantastic words from Jon who clearly enjoyed his time with us.

In his final overall standings, Leiston sit sixth in the table, which looks like this.
1. Worcester City (33pts.), 2. Bromsgrove Sporting (31), 3. Halesowen Town (30.5), 4. Kettering Town (30), 5. Stratford Town (29), 6. Leiston (28.5).
