Out-of-date boiled sweets and Billy's brilliant viral scissor-kick!

Out-of-date boiled sweets and Billy's brilliant viral scissor-kick!

Dunne's Pit11 Apr - 19:28

The talk on the terraces this week has been Billy Johnson's equaliser against Felixstowe & Walton, and a final trip of the year to the Midlands

ONLY one place to start this week and no, it’s not about Billy Johnson’s special goal (more on that later), but about Leiston’s lack of proficiency when it comes to penalty shoot-outs.

Did you know that Leiston have lost their last two finals and three of their last eight finals when it comes down to the lottery of a penalty shoot-out?

As we know it’s all about nerves from 12 yards when a season’s tournament comes down to penalties. Sadly Leiston missed out on some silverware in the week, missing two of their five penalties, while Felixstowe converted all four of theirs.

Is it a skill?

Not sure, but maybe they should have had Billy Johnson on their list of takers

Billy’s stoppage time exploits at the opposite end of the ground has certainly received a lot of coverage. His fantastic scissor-kick bringing the sides back level.

The video went viral across social media, it’s just a shame it wasn’t a winner or the Blues managed to grab the cup, but fantastic coverage for Billy and the club nonetheless. Well done Billy!

TOMORROW is the finale of long journeys and almost the longest of the season as we head off to the Midlands….again.

It’s a good job the M6 toll isn’t further east or we’d need a season ticket to travel on it to save a few quid over the season.

Apparently Tik Tok has some treats for the journey to Stourbridge (we're leaving at 7am) which will no doubt include out of date boiled sweets and some awful packed lunch collaboration.

I did promise him that I would pay for petrol for one of the long old journeys over the season so I’ve been saving up for the Easter Monday trip to Lowestoft.

I’m all heart you know.
