CHRIS Wigger says he is thinking ever more about tactics and team selection with the change in pitches up and down the country, as the dry weather continues.
The Blues host Banbury on Saturday and, with a win, will keep Leiston’s play-off hopes intact. However, just one win in seven league games has meant the Blues are going to have to string a good run of results from now on in to claim a top five spot.

To that end, Wigger says there is plenty to ponder.
“We’re in that season change now where we are going from soft pitches to a lot harder, dry pitches wherever we go,” he said.
“So, we’re having to adjust the way we play our football.
“This isn’t a time of the year for square or backward passes because they are so easy to press. So, we’re having to adjust our style of play. It is something fans will notice.
“We are thinking tactically about team selection and the way we go about breaking the game down into stages at this time of the season. That is something we have been working on and there will be elements of that in Saturday’s game against Banbury.”
Banbury come to Victory Road on Saturday in a good run of form. They have as good as secured their Step 3 status for another season and on Tuesday night beat Lowestoft 2-5 in north Suffolk.
