Neil Smye’s Under 23 side gained a well earned point at Sidegate Avenue on Saturday afternoon after a 1-1 draw with Ransomes Sports.

Although the Blues slip to 8th in the league table, the team put in a strong performance.

The game was goalless at half time but the Blues took the lead after the interval through Ashton Rayworth from the penalty spot but the home side quickly equalised from a spot kick of their own.

A good point on the road against a side who haven’t lost in 12 league and cup games this season.

The Under 23’s host Haughley United at the Flannery Stadium in their next league game next Saturday, kick off 2pm.
