Leiston lose their first ever game on their sixth visit to Garden Walk

Leiston went down to Royston Town away from home on Easter Monday. It was the Blues first ever defeat in six visits to Royston's Garden Walk ground in Hertfordshire.

Andronicos Georgiou put Royston ahead on 10 minutes but Leiston levelled through George Quantrell on 22 minutes. Jamar Loza finished well after good work by Quantrell to edge the Blues ahead on 61 minutes but Royston levelled the match on 68 minutes via Damaray Anyadike’s 40 yard effort. Ross Crane then received a second yellow card and two minutes later Danny Baulk finished off from close range after Donkin saved a header. On 82 minutes, Alfie Williams scored another goal from long range to seal the points to Royston.

Blues line up: Donkin, Rayworth (Batho 21 mins), Dunbar, Quantrell, Bailey-Dennis, Ryan Jarvis (Dronfield 75 mins), Crane, Armin, Boatswain, Manly, Loza (Atkin 87 mins). Sub not used: Mehew.

Attendance: 468
