Blues midfielder Ryan Jarvis is looking forward to his fifth season at the Blues.

Jarvis, who joined in the summer of 2022 from Lowestoft Town, has made 116 appearances in that time, netting three goals.

“I’m enjoying being back in pre-season now and I’m looking forward to playing games and at my age to be involved with this group of good players keeps me motivated to do well”, Jarvis said last week.

The former Norwich City and Leyton Orient playwr has made nearly 600 appearances in an impressive career.

“To feature in games and help the group where I can this season will mean a lot to me.”

“Since joining the club in 2022, I have shared the dressing room with some great lads. We’ve had a blend of some really exciting youngsters and many top experienced players.”

“Over the four seasons, we were so close in the first season, falling short in the play offs and from then on we haven’t been too far away at all.”

Jarvis, who scored nine goals for England in total in the U16s, U17s and U19s, also became Norwich City’s youngest player when he stepped onto the pitch on 19th April 2003 as he came on as a substitute away at Walsall in a 0-0 draw and received a winners medal at the end of the 2003/2004 season as Norwich City won the First Division.

“There are some fantastic people at this club who give a lot of time and efforts. The group of staff are a pleasure to work with and learn from and I’m thoroughly enjoying the coaching staff side of the game and this is something I am certainly keen to progress with.”

“The season before last saw many players leave the club and some come in. Throughout last season we played some really good football, competing with the best teams when we were on top of our game. It would be nice to put a few of those draws into wins as we would’ve gone close in terms of the play offs.”

“We had the development and success of many younger players, one being Ronnie Blois who has moved on to full time football which is something we take pride in.”

“In terms of a personal point of view, of course I would like to pay more football, but I have a duty also to support the group & development of our younger players which I do enjoy.”

Ryan has been back in pre-season training and played a part in all four of Leiston’s pre-season games so far.

“I’ve had a great time off in the summer, I turn 40 years of age and plan to celebrate with my friends and family.”
