IT appears Premier League players are playing too many games.
And there’s me thinking it was a squad game?
I appreciate with league, cups and European games there are a lot of games, but cast your mind back to the early '80s.
42 league games, full strength sides in the FA and League Cups and trips into Europe, plus World Cups and European championships all on considerably worse pitches than what players grace these days.
Yes, I know, players these days are looked after differently but the good old days saw the top sides playing 50 maybe 60 game seasons every year.
Players think they are tired these days!

BACK in my younger days thick fog was often described as pea soup.
Well pea soup was certainly on the menu last Saturday, as I think Leiston drew 0-0!
The fog was so bad Tick Tock celebrated what he thought was a goal while he was facing the car park!
Such a shame as the game was really developing in the first half only for a blanket (literally) cast over the ground the rest of the game.
Fast forward and Tuesday made up for that with a six goal thriller.
We Leiston boys love a late goal, this time six minutes into added-on time.
Tick Tock stormed off in a huff when we were losing with five minutes left. I've told him never to leave early with the Blues. He should know better.
That sulk cost him £1.58 (entrance fee/90 minutes x 85 minutes) but I got more than my entrance fee's worth hanging back to cheer on the equaliser, hugging Doug from Aldeburgh in the process. Apologies, Doug, we'd never met previously!
I said I'd give you a mention.
As for Tick Tock. Well, I won’t hear the last of it now, there goes my free sausage roll at the next home game.
