Leiston host Harrow Borough tomorrow afternoon in the Buildbase FA Trophy First Round Proper. The Blues progressed to this stage after a 3-1 win at Hitchin Town thanks to goals from Ben Hunter, Brendan Ocran and Siju Odelusi two weeks ago. Harrow defeated South Park 1-0 in Kent in their previous round.

Leiston have played Harrow Borough before and the sides first met in December 2012 and won 1-0 at Victory Road thanks to a Patrick Brothers injury time strike. Later that season, the Blues won 3-1 at Harrow with a Gareth Heath double and a Patrick Brothers goal once again. The sides then met every season until the 2017/2018 campaign when Leiston were moved into the Southern League.

Harrow have won eight and lost five of their league games thus far, and sit 7th in their respective division. Last weekend, Harrow lost 1-0 at Portsmouth in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper. They went out of their County Cup on Tuesday, going down 4-1 at Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Leiston meanwhile are 5th, winning nine, drawing one and losing six of their 16 league games so far and sit in the play-off places.

Tomorrow’s match against Harrow will go straight to penalties if the scores are tied after 90 minutes.

The club will be doing a collection for Ben Morling who suffered a bad injury playing for Leiston St Margaret’s last weekend during tomorrow’s game. Ben played for the Reserves and U18’s for two seasons and is still a registered player for the club. We wish Ben all the very best with his recovery.

The club will be holding a minutes silence tomorrow for Rememberance Sunday.

The Blues Reserves are away at Huntingdon Town tomorrow afternoon in league action. Huntingdon are currently 6th in the league while the Reserves are in 13th place. The Reserves completed a decent 6-2 win against Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves on Wednesday night. James Gaffer (2), Callum Pearce, Mason Sinclair, Dion Dozzell and Kai Fletcher were all on target.
