The Blues head to Hayden Road today knowing a win will take them a step further to confirming their play-off place. A win for Leiston would also relegate ‘Diamonds’ this afternoon.

Leiston’s draw at Stratford Town in the week seems them 18 points above 6th Mickleover, with just a month of the season to go. Rushden, meanwhile, are 23 points from safety with just 24 more points to play for.

Leiston have three home games in a row after today’s game. Ipswich Wanderers visit on Tuesday night in the Endeavour Automotive Suffolk Premier Cup quarter-final, before Rushall Olympic and Barwell visit the next two Saturdays. There are then two trips to Needham Market and Tamworth while the Blues welcome Hednesford Town to the Watson & Hillhouse Stadium for the final league game of the campaign.
