THE Blues head to Crown Meadow to face Lowestoft Town on Monday afternoon for their final away game of the season, writes Craig Cooper.
Leiston are 10th after Saturday’s loss at home to Halesowen Town and now cannot make the play-offs this season. Lowestoft Town are third from bottom and will be playing Step 4 football next season after being relegated last weekend.
The Blues have a chance to finish the season well as they host bottom of the table Biggleswade Town in their final game on Saturday.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
THE sides first met in the at Step 5 in October 2004 at Lowestoft. The home side won 2-0 on the at occasion. In fact, the Blues didn’t win at Crown Meadow until August 2017, when the Blues won 2-0.

COMPOSER Benjamin Britten was born in Lowestoft in 1913. The comedian and actor Karl Theobald was born in Lowestoft, as were BBC Radio 4 newsreader and television presenter Zeb Soanes and DJ and BBC radio presenter Tim Westwood.
Sports people associated with Lowestoft include the England football captain Terry Butcher, who was educated there, and Peter Wright, a Darts World Champion who spent formative years there.
The first lighthouse in Britain was built in Lowestoft in 1609.
Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the UK, and the first place to see the sunrise!
