OVERVIEW
The Blues host Leicestershire-based side Quorn this weekend in what will be a first-ever meeting between the sides, writes Craig Cooper.
Quorn have started the season well, having taking 10 points from their opening five league games, and sit 4th in the table at present while Leiston are 8th.
Quorn also progressed in the FA Cup last weekend, defeating Sherwood Colliery 8-0 at home. Their reward for winning that game is a home match against Kettering Town next Saturday.
Leiston have enjoyed four wins in a row in all competitions. Their win on Tuesday night at Crown Meadow set up a tie at Walsham-le-Willows in the Second Round of the Suffolk Premier Cup.
QUORN FACTS
QUORN has a population of just over 5,000 (according to the 2011 Census). It is very close to Loughborough.
They play their home games at Farley Way Stadium on a 3G pitch. They won the Northern League Premier Division last season to get promoted to Step 3.
They were founded in 1924 and are managed by Ryan Beswick.
They reached the FA Cup 3rd Round Qualifying in the 2006-2007 season, their best performance in the competition to date.
