LEISTON lost their first home match of the season as Quorn took all the points on the side's first-ever meeting.
The Blues took the lead through Ben Fowkes on 13 minutes, but by half-time goals from Zak Goodson and Dean Master had put the visitors ahead.
They put themselves in the driving seat early in the second half when Simeon Cobourne netted and, while Spencer Keller's late consolation created a few minutes of excitement near the end of the game, it was Quorn who took the spoils.
Marcus Mehew came in for Billy Johnson in goal, who was unavailable, while Ben Batho and Fraser Alexander replaced Cameron Rayworth and Billy Walsh respectively. Keller returned to the first team to be involved in a competitive game for the first time in 25 months.
It was the home side who took the lead, when Fowkes picked up Joao Rangel’s ball on the left flank and got inside the box to cut the ball back and shoot home into Tom Allsopp’s bottom left hand corner on 13 minutes.
Eleven minutes later, Quorn levelled when they won a free kick just outside the Blues area, and Goodson fired into Mehew’s net.
Five minutes later, and Master shot in off Mehew’s crossbar from 20 yards out to put the away side ahead. Mehew saved well from Reece Fyfe and Goodson before the half was out.
Late in the half, Dunbar cleared away a close range shot for Leiston.
Quorn doubled their lead on 48 minutes when Cobourne got behind the home defence to net a third for the visitors. Goodson and Fyfe had long range attempts that were close while away keeper Allsopp did well to claw away a Fowkes cross on 71 minutes. Both teams made changes to personnel late on, as Mehew pushed away Fyfe’s free kick.
Substitute Keller netted from six yards after good work by Rayworth in the 93rd minute but it was too little, too late.
