

LEISTON won their second away game in the space of three days as Chris Wigger’s men put in an excellent team display to move up a place to tenth in the Southern League Premier Division Central tablewrites Craig Cooper.
With Kyle Callan-McFadden and Wyatt Hill missing through injury, the Blues brought Albie Armin back into the starting XI while Liam Shaw came back into the squad after impressing in the Under 23’s recently.
The Blues started well and pressed Real Bedford back as they had a lot of the ball.
On 14 minutes, Billy Johnson’s long kick found Adam Mills, who won a corner, but the would come to nothing. Leiston’s first chance came on 21 minutes when Mills’ long throw in was met by Jude Frostick but he could only hook the ball wide.
Weyman went close for the hosts on 26 minutes as his shot was just wide of Johnson’s post, but it was Leiston who took the lead four minutes later.
Joao Rangel got forward on Leiston’s right and he crossed to Mills who shot towards goal and this led to Ronnie Blois flicking the ball home past the Real Bedford keeper.
Two minutes later, Conor Tee’s effort was blocked well by Willie Clemons on the edge of the box while five minutes before half time, Clemons was shown a yellow card for a late challenge.
After the break, Mills tested King in the home goal ten minutes into the half while five minutes later, Fraser Alexander delivered a ball into the box but Clemons’ header hit King’s crossbar.
With 15 minutes to go, Rangel’s free kick was blocked while Davies headed over a chance for Real Bedford on 77 minutes. With ten minutes to go Allen shot just wide for the home team.
In stoppage time, Rangel‘s shot hit King’s post but it didn’t matter as after five minutes of additional time, the referee blew as Leiston completed another good win on the road.
