LEISTON drew 0-0 on their travels on Saturday when they made a first-ever trip to Racing Club Warwick writes Craig Cooper.
The point meant Leiston dropped two places to 13th in the Southern League Premier Division Central table and they now have a midweek off for a second week running to prepare for their huge Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying round tie against Guiseley at the Flannery Stadium on Saturday.

Chris Wigger’s side hit the bar through Cameron Rayworth in the first half while in the second period, Adam Mills hit the post and Kyle Callan-McFadden and Adam Marriott had goals disallowed for offside but Leiston headed back to Suffolk with just a point for their troubles.
Wyatt Hill was left out of the 16 as the same XI that began last week against Coventry United in the FA Cup started, however, Eddie Jackson pulled up in the warm-up and Ben Batho took his place in defence.
The game began slowly in terms of chances on goal. Racing Club Warwick won a corner in the first minute but Willie Clemons and Batho cleared the ball away for the Blues. Callum Robinson claimed a free kick in the fourth minute before Leiston won a corner themselves but home captain Kyle Barnett headed the set piece away.
Rhys Hilton had a shot deflected away for a corner on 13 minutes but Callan-McFadden headed away the ball this time.
In the 20th minute, Mills’ throw into the box went to the back post but Jude Frostick was adjudged to have fouled and a free kick was given to the home side.
Clemons and Noel Aitkens headed balls away into the box for Leiston before Robinson made a good save at his near post.
Just after the half hour mark, Aitkens and Mills linked up to set Rangel on the right who jinxed inside and shot just past Tom Allsopp’s right-hand post.
On 33 minutes, Robinson pushed out a shot with his left hand while Mills had a chance two minutes later but his attempt went narrowly wide of Allsopp’s left hand post! On 37 minutes Rayworth headed against the bar from Rangel’s free kick.
Late in the half, Robinson took a cross well while Frostick had a shot blocked and Alexander had a header at Allsopp.
Five minutes into the second half, Mills shot against Allsopp’s right-hand upright.
A minute later, and Rangel’s delivery from the byline was cleared away. Hancocks then fired wide and then the hosts hit the bar and Callan-McFadden headed home on 75 minutes from sub Harvey Sayer’s cross but the flag was raised for offside.
Clemons’ crossfield ball found Sayer on the Blues right in the 77th minute and the player cut inside but shot just over. Sayer again went close on 82 minutes, but Allsopp pushed the ball away.
Late on, Marriott had a goal chalked off, again for offside, from Batho’s through ball, while in the last 90 seconds, the home team won three corners in a row but the Blues cleared.
