Manager Stuart Boardley was away for the match, so Reserve Manager Ian Cornforth took charge, with Director Of Football Trevor Elmy assisting him in the dug out.
Jake Jessup, Kyran Clements and Robert Eagle came into the starting XI with Charlie Beckwith, Will Davies and Tom Woerndl making way for them.
Rushall, who are still unbeaten, suffered an early blow in the first twenty minutes with regular goalkeeper Adam Whitehouse stretchered off with an injury so sub keeper Joe Fryatt came on in his place.
Rushall took a 24th minute lead when the impressive Ben Lund sent over a pin-point cross to the far post for LEVI ROWLEY to sidefoot home. Four minutes later and Leiston had a chance but Josh Hitter struck wide. In the 39th minute, Rushall doubled their advantage. Orrin Pendley headed down a free-kick to DANNY O’CALLAGHAN to fire home a sweet left foot shot.
Leiston had the first opportunity of the second period when Robert Eagle squared the ball to Kyle Hammond whose right foot shot went well wide. Jonathon Letford had two good chances for the hosts, the second of which was well saved by Jake Jessup, before Rushall got the killer third goal from the penalty spot that was taken and scored by SAM WHITTALL. In the last fifteen minutes, the home side added three more goals to their tally with JONATHON LETFORD grabbing two goals and SHAQUILLE LEACHMAN-WHITTINGHAN also getting on target.
The result sees Leiston drop to the bottom of the table. Next weekend they face two big games in the form of Tamworth at home and Needham Market away.
