The Blues host Bromsgrove Sporting in league action tomorrow afternoon, in their first match for twelve days. After a 5-3 win at Lowestoft Town over Christmas, Leiston have dropped to 8th in the table in the last week, seven points off the play-offs but with games in hand. Will Davies is now one of the highest scorers in the league with 13 and will look to add to his tally tomorrow.

Leiston have played Bromsgrove once at home before. This came in November 2019, in which the Worcestershire club won 8-0. However, the Blues played very well on the opening day of the season in the Midlands as they came away with a 4-0 victory. Will Davies (2), George Quantrell and Dylan Switters were all on target that day.

Our visitors tomorrow are 13th in the league currently and reached the 4th Round Qualifying of the FA Cup earlier this campaign, losing 5-0 at home to Grimsby Town.

Blues joint boss Chris Wigger said on Friday: -

‘This Saturday’s game gives us a perfect opportunity to build on an amazing team performance at Lowestoft Town. That was a very pleasing result for us as a management team because we had worked very hard on the training pitch to improve on certain aspects of our game which showed in the derby match. Although conceding three goals was not ideal I feel the pitch and conditions allowed for a very open game with the odd mistake thrown in. Take away the derby atmosphere can we put in a similar performance……that is something that we will be very interested to see come the end of the game!!!’
