Leiston host top of the table Banbury United tomorrow afternoon in the Pitching In Southern League Central Premier (3pm kick off).
The Blues went down 3-2 to Banbury in mid October. Finlay Barnes and Joe Marsden were on target as Leiston lead 2-1 at one stage in Oxfordshire but Banbury scored in the final seconds to give them the win. Banbury are a massive fourteen points above Coalville Town at present and look set to be the league champions come the end of April. The Blues though will be eager to put the defeats at Needham and St Ives Town behind them and try to gain more points. Leiston are four points off fifth place Alvechurch as the side begin a run of four home games on the bounce.
The games between the sides before have seen Leiston lose three out of four matches, the other being a 0-0 draw in April 2019 that included a Charlie Beckwith penalty save.
