The U23s performed well in the first half at Long Melford on Wednesday night but went down to a 53rd-minute strike from Ollie Hughes to lose 1-0 and exit the League Challenge Cup at the 2nd Round stage.

Last weekend, Neil Smye's side picked up their first league win of the season, beating Needham Market Reserves 2-0.
