THE Blues U23s dropped a place to 16th this midweek after other league games were played out in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North, writes Craig Cooper.

This weekend Neil Smye's side travel to FC Parson Drove, in Cambridgeshire, who sit in ninth place, after taking 10 points from their first seven league games.

The team will head to Parson Drove with confidence high after winning their last two league games, against AFC Sudbury Reserves and Needham Market Reserves.

COMING UP FOR THE U23S

On Tuesday night, the U23s host Long Melford in the Suffolk Senior Cup First Round (the only First Round match). They then don’t play for ten days as they head to Norfolk on Saturday 20th September to face Wroxham Reserves, before heading to Diss Town on Tuesday 23rd September to end the month as they have another break before hosting Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers on Saturday 4th October.
