THE Blues U23s host Holbeach United on Saturday afternoon in their first home match of 2026, writes Craig Cooper.

Neil Smye’s side played their first game of the year last Saturday, losing 0-3 at Stanway Pegasus in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North. The U23s are still four points off Wivenhoe Town with a game in hand at the bottom of the table.

Holbeach United sit 15th currently and have taken 28 points from 24 games.

The reverse fixture saw Holbeach United come from 0-2 down with half an hour to go to win 3-2.

Saturday’s game is the first of four home matches in the league in a row for the U23s, whilst next weekend they head to Haughley United in a Suffolk Senior Cup game.
