PREVIOUS MEETINGS
LEISTON Reserves/Under 23’s first played Framlingham Town away at this level in November 2016. Anthony Johnson (2), Cyrus Thorpe and Johnny Kerridge all netted for Fram in a 4-0 home win.
Fram beat Leiston in April at the back end of the 2017/2018 campaign 3-2. Dominic Docherty and Joe Marsden helped put Leiston in control, but goals from Daniel Smith (2) and Jacob Taylor ensured Fram won 3-2. Fram went up that season with 94 points, with Woodbridge Town winning the division.
Leiston then didn’t play Framlingham in the league until the 2020/2021 season, which the Blues won 3-2 at home but Leiston’s season, along with hundreds of other football clubs, was curtailed due to COVID.
In August 2021, Leiston won 2-0 at Fram with two goals from Nicky Shopov.
Framlingham Town won 6-0 at Badingham Road in October 2022, while last season, the Blues youngsters lost 4-3 in September 2023. Ollie Griggs, Mackenzie Travis and Josh Yaxley all scored for Leiston while Josh Lucraft (2), Ethan Whittingstall and Max Willett scored for Fram.
It will be Leiston Under 23’s first game of 2025.
