Leiston Reserves went down 2-0 at home to Fakenham Town last Saturday. They went a goal down in the 25th minute when a poor clearance from Nikki Shopov in his own box allowed Gus Matthews time to shoot home past goalkeeper Harry Lay-Fulcher. Later in the half, Tom Mansfield missed a header that let in Harry Exley and he made no mistake to double Fakenham's lead. Leiston played some good football in the second half into the wind but were not clinical enough in the final third. There were a lot of positives to take from the game, especially Mike Carrigan who was making his debut and Adam Blades who was playing his first match back from being at University.
Reserve side: - Lay-Fulcher, Groom, Shopov, Hammond, Gaffer (Coldwell), Mansfield, Carrigan, Bacon, Bloom, Garrard (Seymour), Kiwomya (Blades). Subs not used: - Alcock, Gissing.
