The Reserves went down 3-0 to Swaffham Town on Saturday, writes Reserve team Manager Ian Cornforth.
In very blustery conditions Leiston weathered the early Swaffham pressure with Joe Potter making two excellent saves. Leiston started to get a foot hold in the game, creating a couple of half chances but they couldn’t convert as they reached half time at 0-0.
After successfully defending a Swaffham corner, Mason Sinclair broke up field however the referee awarded a penalty to the hosts after Jourdan Kiwomya was alleged to have commit a foul in the penalty area. The penalty was converted and Swaffham duly scored two more times to seal the three points. There were some good performances however as Riley Mower and Owen Hammond played well.
But Sam Allen was man of the match after putting in a fantastic performance.
