LEISTON boss, Chris Wigger, says his side are, 'on the edge of achieving something very special’, as they prepare for Saturday’s FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying tie with Guiseley, at the Flannery Stadium, 3pm kick-off.
The winner of Saturday’s game heads into the First Round of the FA Cup and into the hat alongside the likes of Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday.
The potential of a draw against a League club of that magnitude may for now seem a long way off. But whoever comes out on top on Saturday (or in a replay), has that opportunity afforded to them.
However, Wigger knows Leeds-based Guiseley, will prove stiff opponents.
“It’s going to be a test for us, there is no doubt about that,” he said.
BLUES STRIKER HOPES FOR MORE FA CUP GLORY
“I know both clubs will be taking the game very seriously, both of us know what’s at stake. From our point of view, we very much would like to get the job done at home. I know the Leiston fans will get right behind us.
“We mustn’t take games like this lightly, on or off the pitch, because getting this far in the FA Cup doesn’t come round every season. But there is no doubt about it, we are on the edge of achieving something very special if we get it right.”
