LEISTON boss Chris Wigger has set his team a challenge as the Blues head to Stourbridge this weekend.
After the disappointment of losing the Suffolk Premier Cup final to Felixstowe & Walton on Wednesday night, Wigger says he’s told his players what he wants from them over the last four league games.
“For me now, I’ve given the boys a bit of a challenge,” he said.
“We have four games left; we are not out of the play-off chase by any means. I’ve told the lads, win on Saturday, set yourselves up for Halesowen match at home next week – which will be a huge game – take points off them.
“Then potentially we travel to Lowestoft in a local derby and then see what the last game throws up for us.
“There’s 12 points up for grabs and I’ve told the boys to go and get them.”

Reflecting on Wednesday night’s loss, Wigger was philosophical.
“We took it to the end, that’s all we could do,” he said. “We’ve played some tough sides on the way to the final and we played another good side in the final.
“We were coming into it as the game went on, and we would have liked extra-time, rather than the lottery of penalties. But that’s the way it is, I understand that, and I wouldn’t be saying it if we had won on penalties.”
