LEISTON boss, Chris Wigger, will be looking for his side to build on their fine midweek victory at Peterborough Sports, as Alvechurch come to the Flannery Stadium on Saturday, 3pm kick-off.
The Blue arrested a run of two defeats and no goals in three with a five-star 5-2 win at Sports on Tuesday night.

Now, Wigger is hoping that form will be taken into the Alvechurch clash this weekend, and beyond.
“The Peterborough win came at the right time for us,” Wigger said.
“They came to us a few weeks ago and beat us at our place. It started us on a bit of a bad run. So, it was a good one to come back into and get the three points.
“I’m pleased because we got a reaction from our defeat at Kettering (0-4). The team had clear instructions on how to go about things at Peterborough, and they saw it through.”
Leiston’s opponents this weekend, Alvechurch, have a big date next Saturday when they travel to Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup first round. They are in the play-off picture in the Southern League Premier Division Central as well and came back from 0-2 down to draw with Anstey Nomads 2-2 on Tuesday night.
Wigger knows it will be another test for his side.
“Alvechurch are always tough opponents,” Wigger said.
“They’re having a great FA Cup run; they beat Spalding 4-0 in a replay and now head to Plymouth Argyle next week. They had a high-scoring 4-4 draw recently. Clearly, they’re a free-scoring side. I saw some of the signings they made in the summer and could see they had made some good ones. So, it will be a difficult one for us; we’re in the middle of a tough run of games.”
Leiston have played 12 league games so far this season, but only four at home. If they can get their home form going, they are capable of pushing up the table, currently they sit in 14th place.
The Blues will hope to have Kyle Callan-McFadden back for the game, he missed Peterborough Sports because of a niggle. Captain Seb Dunbar is still a few weeks away from action.
