LEISTON are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Noel Aitkens.
The 30-year-old has returned to the Flannery Stadium, having left Leiston in 2020 after two seasons with the Club. He joins the Blues from Felixstowe & Walton. And he can't wait to get going.
“I'm happy to be back," Noel said.
“I know a few of the players here, so I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone. I can’t wait to see all the Leiston fans, the ones I have met before and those I’m now set to meet for the first time. "
So, what can Leiston fans who haven't seen him in action expect from Noel?
"I like getting on the ball, making things happen, giving 100% every game and getting the team playing," he said.
“When Leiston came in for me it was a bit of a no-brainer. I really want to test myself again at this level.”
Noel has already made 64 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, netting five times and was part of Leiston’s 2019 Suffolk Premier Cup-winning squad.
Welcome back, Noel.
It's three signings now this week for Leiston, after striker, Adam Marriott, and goalkeeper, Callum Robinson, both joined the Blues earlier this week.
