LEISTON UNDER 23s have been relegated from the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North after they finished bottom of the table in last season’s 2025/2026 campaign, with 23 points from their 38 league games.
Due to the relegation the side will now line up in the Suffolk & Ipswich League Premier Division (Step 7 in the football pyramid) for the start of the 2026/2027 season. It is 25 years since the club had a side in the Suffolk & Ipswich Premier Division.
The Blues second string had 12 seasons at Step 6, which began in 2014. After finishing bottom twice in the first three seasons, the side were outside the relegation zone every season until the last one.
All the end of season finishes for Leiston Reserves/Under 23's at Step 6;

The side will still compete in the Suffolk FA Senior Cup next season, where the Under 23's reached the final in 2022 and 2024 while they can also take part in the SIL (Suffolk & Ipswich League) League Cup (Morrison Freight Cup).
Leiston ‘A’ competed in the SIL between 2019 and 2021 in Division 4 when they finished second and were promoted into League C.
Leiston’s second string haven’t played in the SIL since 2005 where they finished third in that season in Intermediate B, whilst the first team last played in the SIL in 2001, when they finished in third spot which was enough for promotion to Step 6 and the Jewson League First Division.
